10 Maine Fall Festivals: Reasons I Enjoy Wells Beach Off-Season Part 1

Wells Beach MaineWhile Labor Day marks the end of summer, it doesn’t mean you have to say “goodbye” to the beach until next year.  I enjoy spending time at our Wells beach cottage during the off-season just as much as the height of summer — arguably more.  The crowds dissipate and great weather continues into October.  Plus, there are plenty of things to do in Wells and the surrounding area.  In fact, I counted 10 Fall festivals that will take place along the Southern Coast of Maine during September and October.  Check them out.

If you’re like me and enjoy the beach even more once the crowds thin out, consider spending a long weekend at the Seagull Inn and Condominiums in Wells and attending 1 of the 10 Maine Fall festivals.  What’s even better about spending time at the beach in the off-season is that rates drop and 25% discounts are often given on stay of 3 nights or more.

Check back for “Reasons I Enjoy Wells Beach Off-Season Part 2,”  where I’ll share a list of holiday-themed events and festivals that take place on the Southern Coast of Maine.
