2017 Re-Opening Dates for Popular Restaurants in Ogunquit, Wells and Kennebunkport, Maine

Amore-Breakfast-Ogunquit-Homemade-HashAre you counting down the days until your favorite restaurants in the Wells area wake from their winter slumber?  I am!  So much so that I started a list of re-opening dates for popular places to eat in Wells, Kennebunkport and Ogunquit.

Note: Before you head to one of these places, check their website or Facebook page for operating hours. Some are closed on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays and others are only open on weekends until June.

2017 Opening Dates for Popular Wells Area Restaurants

Amore Breakfast (now Breakfast at Caffe Prego ~That’s Amore!) – The beloved breakfast restaurant we’ve enjoyed for years has permanently closed its doors at 309 Shore Rd, but DO NOT FRET. Leanne and her team have joined forces with Caffe Prego, which means we’ll still be able to enjoy their delicious eggs Benedict over homemade corned beef hash at Caffe Prego when they re-open in early April. | 44 Shore Rd, Ogunquit, ME.Barnacle Billy's Rum Punch

Bandaloop – Thursday, April 20, 2017.  This is one of our all-time favorite restaurants even though it doesn’t have a view.  Bandaloop is known for their use of organic and locally sourced foods, as well as many vegetarian and vegan options. Try the soup.  It’s amazing! | 2 Dock Square, Kennebunkport, ME

Barnacle Billy’s – Friday, April 7, 2017 – Overlooking Perkin’s Cover, their deck offers idyllic views and the rum punch will knock your socks off. |  50-70 Perkins Cove Road, Ogunquit, ME 03907

Bennett’s Store – Weekends starting, Saturday, April 29, 2017 – Hands down, this is the best place around for sub sandwiches, especially steak and cheese grinders. | 200 Sea Rd, Kennebunk, ME

Big Daddy’s Ice Cream – Friday, May 5, 2017 – Many people favor Scoop Deck, but we like the ice cream here just as much — and the lines aren’t nearly as long.  | 2165 Post Road (U.S. Route 1) in Wells, ME

The Dory at the Lodge on the Cove – Memorial Day weekend 2017.  The poolside restaurant at this upscale motor lodge is the perfect place for a casual meal with your family.  The kids will LOVE the gourmet milkshakes, tabletop shuffleboard game, ping pong table and corn hole boards.  | 29 South Main Street, Kennebunkport, ME

Earth at Hidden Pond – Friday, May 5, 2017 | 354 Goose Rocks Rd, Kennebunkport, ME

Egg and I Pancake and Waffle House – Friday, April 14, 2017. You can’t go wrong with choosing this classic breakfast place. |  Route 1,  Across from the Ogunquit Lobster Pound, Ogunquit

Fisherman’s Catch – Friday, May 5, 2017 | If you don’t know this is the best place around for fried seafood, then you’ve been living under a rock. | 134 Harbor Road, Wells, MEFishermans Catch 2

Forbes Seafood Restaurant – Weekends starting April 8, 2017 and then daily starting the third week of June.  I’ve only tried their ice cream so far, which is delicious, but added it to this list because it’s located directly on Wells Beach, and I’m sure people are wondering when it will re-open. | 427 Mile Rd, Wells Beach, ME

Hobbs Harborside – Thursday, March 30, 2017. Our first experience here was lackluster, but the views and menu make me want to give it another try.  | 352 Harbor Road, Wells, ME

Mabel’s Lobster Claw – Wednesday, April 5, 2017 | 124 Ocean Ave, Kennebunkport, ME

Pine Tree Farm Market and Cafe – TBD. In the past, they re-opened the last weekend of April. We haven’t tried this place yet, but I’ve heard great things about it from a friend and Tripadvisor gives it excellent reviews.  | 411 Post Rd, Wells, ME

Rollover Cafe  –  Unconfirmed.  Last year, they re-opened the last weekend of April. This often overlooked cafe serves wonderful sandwiches. Plus, you can hang out on their porch with your dog while the kids play at the Boardwalk arcade directly across the street. | 358 Mile Rd, Wells, ME

Scoop Deck – Friday, May 26, 2017 (Memorial weekend). This is arguably the most popular ice cream stand in Southern Maine.  The only dispute is which of their 50+ flavors is the best. | 6 Eldridge Road, Wells, ME

Striper’s Waterside – Now open year round | 133 Ocean Ave, Kennebunkport, ME

The Steakhouse –  Thursday, March 30, 2017 |1205 Post Rd (Rt.1), Wells, ME 04090

Tides Beach Club – Thursday, May 11, 2017 – The lobby bar of this hotel located directly on Goose Rocks beach is the ideal place for an afternoon cocktail and appetizer. Not only is is the decor stunning, but the Perfect 10 Happy Hour (3:00 to 5:00 pm, all season whenever the dining room is open) includes: 10 signature drinks for $9 each, 8 glasses of wine for $7 each, 6 small plates for $5 each and 4 draught beers for $3 each.| 254 Kings Highway,  Kennebunkport, ME
